CalFlor TileFix Mix2Match Overview

CalFlor TileFix is designed for one of the most frustrating flooring problems: a chipped or cracked tile that is otherwise firmly installed. Instead of replacing the entire tile, the kit fills the damaged area and allows the user to blend pigments into the repair to better match ceramic, porcelain, stone and other hard surfaces.

Mixable Putty for Tile and Stone

The repair begins with a white acrylic-based putty that can be colored using the included pigments. The system includes a selection of formulas, but colors can also be mixed manually to suit tile and stone that falls outside standard shades.

This is particularly useful for natural stone and decorative tile, where subtle variation is normal and a generic white, gray or beige filler may remain obvious.

Marbling and Surface Detail

TileFix includes tools intended to recreate visible color changes and marbling effects. After the filler is shaped and colored, the surface can be finished so the patched area better resembles the surrounding tile.

The system is wax-free and solvent-free, and the filled area dries into a harder repair than soft wax touch-up products.

What TileFix Can and Cannot Repair

TileFix is well suited to chips, deep scratches, small cracks and localized missing material. It can be used on floor tile as well as related hard surfaces such as backsplashes and countertops.

However, it does not correct movement underneath a tile. A loose, hollow or rocking tile should be repaired mechanically or reinstalled before the cosmetic surface is addressed.

Who Should Choose TileFix?

TileFix is a practical option when a damaged tile is difficult to replace, when a matching replacement is no longer available or when the defect is too small to justify removing an otherwise sound tile. Its mixable color system gives it an advantage over one-color repair compounds on visible floor surfaces.
